Susann Richter, President
Susann brings diverse talents to Bearwood. An award winning songwriter, singer, keyboard and accordion player, she is also acclaimed for her mastery of the Aeolian wind harp. She has recorded with such artists as the Tea Party and Delerium and was a member of Art Bergmann’s band during his Duke Street/MCA years. Susann was a lawyer in a former life and brings her business and music acumen to Bearwood. She is co-owner of Strait Sound Studio and an active performer in the Sunshine Coast and Vancouver music scenes.

Ray Fulber, Vice President
Ray has been active in every part of the Canadian music industry as bass player, artist manager, recording engineer, producer and studio developer. He built and operated ‘Profile”, one of the first indie studios in Vancouver and went on to manage and play with Canadian rock icon, Art Bergmann. Ray is currently co-owner and engineer of Strait Sound Studio. He has many great Canadian artists on his recording roster, including Conjure One, Colin James, Econoline Crush, Tim Hearsey, and Veda Hille. Ray is sought out not only for his groove – centered bass playing but also for his skill at playing rattly things.
Paul Steenhuis, Secretary Treasurer
Paul has a long, multi-faceted history in the music industry. He has designed six studios and recorded and produced over 1,400 projects in nine countries in Europe and North America. His engineering credits include such names as Uriah Heep, Joe Pass, Tom Jones , the Duke Ellington Band, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Mr. Dressup, to name-drop just a few. Paul founded the Ontario Institute of Audio Recording Technology in 1983 in London, Ontario. OIART is still operating as the most highly acclaimed independent recording school in Canada.
On the other side of the glass, he is an accomplished musician and composer. Paul’s prowess on the guitar and bass keeps him in demand for live shows and studio sessions. Despite his harrowing schedule he still finds time to practice the air triangle.
